This clip is a kinescope of the last few minutes of the LIVE broadcast from 1955, with an "enhancement" created by me!
Peter Pan - Indians - Sondra Lee - 1955

...Directly after the B'way run, complete with the B'way sets, here's the original "Indian" cast doing the number LIVE, [from Peter Pan on NBC's Producers' Showcase] exactly the way it was originally performed.. well - a little shorter.
"A Couple of Swells" - Judy Garland - TV

This is my favorite lite-Judy tune. Her personality shines thru her dirty-face! I cleaned-up the audio & video a bit in this TV-kinescope.
"Babalu Music" - a mix of Desi's Babalu performances

This nice video-mix was produced in 1991 by that weird guy.. .. .. well read the credits at the end of the clip. You'll understand.
Bette Midler - "The Clap" - Vicki Eydie

NO AUDIO DUE TO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT CLAIM! It's a short clip from 1976 HBO Special.
YES - Alice Ghostley IS Paul Lynde

This small clip is from the crappy movie, "Rabbit Test," directed by Joan Rivers. I always knew that Paul channeled thru Alice!!
Gracie Allen - 2 [Cuckoo][George Stops the Show]
Переглядів 26 тис.16 років тому
Typical Gracie patter! And, rare kinescope of George Burns stepping out to "Stop" the action, explaining the replacement of an actor. It happened again in a later episode when Larry Keating {neighbor Harry Morton} replaced Fred Clark, who went to the B'way stage. AND - You can see that Gracie is a bit more "frisky" in this earlier episode!
"Cabaret" - Liza Minnelli - Actors' Fund

I believe that the year was 2003... the benefit celebrated the genius of Kander & Ebb Liza young, Liza old, Liza thin, Liza chunky, Liza strong, Liza shaky... no matter what - IT'S STILL THE ONE & ONLY LIZA
"The Music and the Mirror" - Donna McKechnie
Переглядів 45 тис.17 років тому
Donna performs in this rare clip from the original production of A CHORUS LINE, posted by "markmole," which is now "video enhanced," but still a blurrrrr... just less of a blurrrrr! Audio has been re-sync'd also.
"Getting Married Today" - Company - DC

"Cell Block Tango" - à la men - Actors' Fund

cute gender reversed [sort-of] spoofy rendition from benefit honoring Kander & Ebb songs NOTE: I may be wrong with the year in the video-text. I think that it's 2003.

Hear Hear !
One beautiful tune
Talent. Unlike today's garbage
I had such a crush on Paul Peterson when I was a teen! ❤
Dayne Point
If that could be the song of every son!
I miss you dad! I hope you see my achievements

I Remember This Episode! ❤😎❤
😅😅😅😅😅❤
I used to watch the Donna Reed show and Loretta Young with my mom when I was very little. My Dad died when I was 4. I used to sing this song. My Dad was pure gold. I remember finding him fixing a swing that he had strung up from the garage rafters for me. One side had come down and I forgot to tell anyone. I opened the back door and there he was on a ladder fixing my swing and I literally caught my breath thinking how my dad was fixing my swing and I didn’t ask him to! My heart swelled and thought to myself, my dad is such a good person! The swing was jangling around while he worked on it and I thought “I’m going to help him” and I sat on the swing to keep it from moving. He just kept on working fixing my swing while holding up my 4 year old self. I felt so proud he was my dad.
My hero, my best friend, my rock, my DAD! I miss you so... Thank you for all you taught me and your love and protection.
Kamala is preparing the cookbook now. It tastes like chicken.
That truly has to be one of the most hideous songs on the planet.
So far away.......
Was Jonathan Tunick let go for creating the shows big orchestral number?
0:34 Spit it out Woman!
😮
My dad died in 1989 this has always been my song to him he was my my friend my dad I miss him so much
Sigh* rarely i tear up but this song is where it happens 😅
I've seen SO of these videos, I don't know how I missed this one, but this performance was the best interpretation, in my opinion.
I am 72 and lost my dad in 1997,, still miss him. Lost my son in 2019 missing him too. Father Day is so hard.
I'm sorry sir you have my condolences my father passed away in April I can't imagine the pain, id like to imagine though that they would like for you to continue and for you to keep them in your mind always in a positive light
We used to carpool back in the day and listen to this CD on the commute to downtown LA
Mayberry RFD brought me here.
Lillias White doesn't even look tired through those notes!
Please watch miss m at the continental baths to see how she got famous. Once it became performing the sensation was over. First 2 albums are perfection. Thank you Barry, bette and bill Hennessy who created the divine miss m.
Played this 45 for our Dad on Father’s Day but he did not understand we were so proud of him. He asked us to turn it off….
She voiced Catwoman on The Batman and played Sally Bowles in this revival. As a fan of comics, animated projects and theatre, I am in awe.
Notice the flight check in office runs away in fear and the aliens take the flight off early
The definitive performance of this song. I have seen many performances of Company and it was never performed by anyone better than this. The original Marta and by far the best !
A very poignant song from Paul Petersen and epitomises how I felt about my dad as my dad was gone too soon as he died at 52 and I was only 18 at the time - I still so miss my dad so very much....
My Dad, U.S. Army Col, W.O. "Frenchy" LaMarre, who crossed France with Gen. Patton's 3rd Armour Division, is the finest man I have ever known. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 53 in 1963. One month before, on my 17th birthday, he and my Mom bought me a portable typewriter, but he never saw what I did with it in 60 years as a sportswriter.
😂😂😂😂
To complete the scenario of this Donna Reed show episode. It is Fathers Day and Jeff ( Paul Peterson).is performing . Hus family is due ro be there but is father Alex ( Carl Betz) is a doctor who was called away on an emergency. Jeff is angry that he canr be there but they are there at the very end. That is the scene you see in the video.
I think this is the best song about fathers ever.
Another thing I like about this production is that Matthew Broderick is so naturally doe-eyed that Finch’s con artistry is even more insidious
I’ve always found this to be the superior version. I did a community theatre production in ‘02 and we based it more on this than the original and our Ms. Jones stopped the show just as much. The choreography from the recent revival was fabulous but it just isn’t the same without giving Ms. Jones her big moment
Like the previous poster, I never thought I'd see the original Tick Tock dance (the OBC album liner notes make it seem like it's forever lost to history). But what a delight this is. Sexy and precise. Perfect, really. Donna McKechnie is a true star.
Love this! ❤ 😊
An oldie but goodie 🩵🎶🎵
I lost my dad in 1998 and I play this song on fathers day every year in tribute to him. I still remember watching the original episode when it was shown. This was a favorite show of mine when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's. It still makes me tear up when I play this episode after all these years. This is by far the best song about fathers.
So appropriate for a Father memory on Fathers' Day. I miss my dad every day. He was good at giving advice in one or two short sentences (sometimes just a word or two and no long lectures). After many years I still recall some of his wisdom and at times use it to handle situations.
I've shared this with my Father, Mr. Keith Jeffers, this day, June 6th, 2024. The badass of East Tennessee! MY SUPERHERO! I love you, Dad! I would be NOTHING without you, Sir!
My father was far from a Television Dad. He was a great provider with no sense of humor. But he was my Dad.
does anyone know who is playing guitar on this
to my late daddy I miss you so
I really appreciate an really Miss my Dad
Outstanding! Brava!
